Rim machines
Easy integration, flexibility of cooling, gearless solutions:
In applications where high torque is required at low speeds (10-300 rpm), optimal shape of electrical machine is the ring-shape. Such machines are often called ”rim-machines”. They are naturally well suited for integration into the mechanical structures and can be adapted for different kinds of cooling.
